Welcome to Anger Management! If this is your first time here, take a minute to learn more about what anger is, what you can do about it, and if it is right for you. Anger itself is a normal and healthy emotion. It is a strong emotion that is generally has a target. Anger can serve to protect your identity, mobilize you to take action, or cue you to something wrong that needs attention. As is the case for most things however, too much can be problematic.

Anger greatly impairs your ability to make logical or sound decisions. This can result in damaged relationships, problems at work, or even commitment of violent acts. Anger can be very damaging to the body. Prolonged or intense anger can cause your body to produce elevated levels of adrenaline, epinephrine, and cortisol. This can cause high blood pressure, depress your immune system, and affect your memory. If left untreated, anger can have psychological, social, and physical consequences that can greatly affect your ability to live a satisfying and fulfilling life.
